    In healthcare, answers are often spread across a range of difference sources including EOCs, SOBs, and other semi-structured or unstructured PDFs that health plans regularly publish. With LLMs, it is now possible to piece together answers from the information contained in these documents and to generate conversational answers when brokers call in with questions. We’ve prototyped making these answers available in our broker portal.

    As a health plan that operates under the Affordable Care Act, we receive reams of data from state and federal exchanges for members when they enroll. While these files follow predictable formats they sometimes contain data anomalies, gaps, or inaccuracies that can impact downstream processes. We’ve prototyped using GPT to automatically detect (and suggest corrections for) errors in eligibility data.
